Blog 4 - About my new work "Yo presiento", "Ich ahne", "I presage"
"Yo presiento" it´s my last work inspired by Rilke´s orpheus sonnets. The title arises from a trip that I had together with my father and my brother to south of Chile, in february of this year. In the walks through the beatiful landscapes, my brother repeated over and over a little verse from one of the sonnets: "ich ahne", that means: "I presage". Because of the love I feel for him, and the persistence with which the verse appeared, spontaneously I had the idea to put that title to my work.
The night of April 11 I had a revealing dream, and it was another impuls to continue this work:
I dreamed that a gigantic tsunami would raze all humanity. But the symbolic of the dram it wasn´t the tragic event per se, but this feeling that the apocalypse in crescendo was coming. It's as if the world is preparing for its own destruction, and I had to prepare, not to stop the big tragedy, but to embrace it and to face it.
"I presage" seek to evoke this uncertain sensation but real, prophetic and at the same time evident. "I presage" is a confirmation of the "colective feeling" of uncertainty and expectation, which had its first appearance with the chileans social outbreak - that actually arose thousands of years ago on a planetary level in the collective unconscious - and now it´s powered by the pandemic. The strings and the human beings vibrate and breathe. In vibration we affirm our existence, and in breath we are conected to the world. "I presage" is a work inspired in what lies far from us, and at the same time accompanies us. That which we know very deep down in our being, but which we prefer to forget so as not to fall into the abyss and into the senseless.

I presage...humans have this notion of...probable a spark of what our future would be. I envisioned in your work many effects to response this call for a foreseen prediction (redundancy here) uncertainty. Some of us look up high for divinity aid, some other seek into the inner most obscures nooks to find a possible answer. In sum, a deep, almost extravagant entry. I loved it!
ResponderBorrarIt's beautiful how your work is directly influences for your family and other internal things, because finally impulse you to create something that reflect the present situation. Is a colective work that make sense. Congratulations!
