Blog 5 - Light and Darkness, only this we have

The white lake is a lake that is located on the "Carretera Austral" from Chile. I captured this picture in 2013, in a camping that had a small hovel with exit to the lake. What I liked most about this picture, is the contrast between the light and the darkness. I remember that day as a cold, very cloudy and rainy day. But towards the end a little piece of sun appeared.

It was a travel together with my brother. He listened for the first time - actually in this place - the Beethoven's ninth symphony. Towards the end of the symphony, shuddering whole, he just looked at me with a deeply look, and silently stayed for a long time. It was a very transcendental moment.

I remember too that we contemplated this beatiful picture, while we ate or talked. The name "white lake" is because, at dusk, the clouds were reflected in the lake, thus leaving a white lake. We enjoyed the long walks, while we were talking about the life, the world and the meaning of our existence.
