Blog 1 - My work: "Quartet from the distances" for string quartet

In times of isolation and social distance, the music opens itself like a magnificent window chance to access with our greetings, sentiments, to all of what we sense merely in our everyday life. Opening our ears towards inside to what evokes us to art and what belongs to us, Due to the sanitary emergency and social-psycho which are going through brings about an impulse of me to create a work "fragmented" that's to say composed from diverse gestures all different and unique, as regards to the sound. The idea the composed based on "fragments" comes up due to lock down days. Not only exists a "social distancing", but also lingers the phenomenon of "emotional distancing". In these days quarantine dialog in our spirits moods as the tedious, the anxiety, or rage. Nevertheless, if we look at the phenomenon of "pandemic" from a deep vision as whole, we realize that it's an opportunity – and not necessarily a disease – to meet with ourselves. It invites us to the reflection and awaitness to be patients and careful to with our being. Staying in our house would be like to inhabit in ourselves and look into the loneliness the possibilities and answers to the questions: Why a pandemic? What is its purpose? How this long process will be over?

The fragments of the play will be indicated like Roman numbers. The interpreter will have the chance to choose freedom to finalize each fragment in silence (let's hope no more than five seconds). Like the play look for reflecting the "emotional distancing", the interpreter will have the opportunity to choose a name for every fragment; the ideal is that the name to be a emotion (as tedious, anxiety, rage, etc.) and not a concept. And like last requisite it's request that the interpreters take at least three meters from distance among themselves and that way demonstrate at a performance level the idea of "responsibility".

"Quartet from the distances" has a minimum duration of six minutes and a maximum duration of seven minutes.
